The points are based on the number of miles one travels from one city to the next. So, the more someone flies, the more they earn, and the faster they can accumulate a free airplane trip through that same airline company in the future. For the average person who does not fly frequently, free trips are hard to come by. Be sure you are using the same email as your airline rewards account so that the points will be linked back to you. Another way that you can earn frequent flyer points and not have to spend a dime of your own money is to take surveys online. Several online survey sites in the US now give you the option of converting your earnings from doing surveys into frequent flyer miles. While it is tempting to take the money from a survey, the airline miles actually are more valuable in the long run and are worth more than the money offer. Examples of survey sites that allow you to cash in for frequent flyer miles include E-Rewards and Opinion Place. Take surveys as much as possible and earn those free miles for minutes of your time and opinion, which is a fair tradeoff in the long run.<br />
