Are You Caring or Caretaking?

Caring = giving to another from love, for the joy of it - as a free gift
Caretaking = giving to get love, giving with an agenda attached, giving yourself up

Even though the actions of caring and the actions of caretaking might look exactly the same, the intention is totally different, so the energy of the actions is also completely different.

Sandy is a caretaker. She is constantly doing things for others - sometimes because they ask her to and other times because she believes that is what they want and expect. The problem is that Sandy often abandons herself to give to others, and then expects others to give back to her and fill the emptiness within her caused by her self-abandonment. She ignores her own feelings and uses giving to others as an addiction to avoid responsibility for herself. She uses her caretaking as a form of control to try to get others to like and value her, rather than learning to like and value herself.

While others may like what Sandy gives to them, they rarely give back to her in the way she hopes for, so Sandy generally ends up feeling invisible, unappreciated, disappointed and drained, and often angry as well.

The energy of Sandy's giving often doesn't feel good to others, as they feel pulled on and obligated to give back.

Monica, on the other hand, has learned through her Inner Bonding® process to connect with her personal source of spiritual Guidance, which enables her to define her own worth so that she isn't needy of others' attention and approval. She knows how to fill herself with love and to take 100% responsibility for her own feelings. Before giving to others, she checks in with herself to see if this is something she really wants to do, so that when she gives, it is for the joy of it. Her caring is a free gift - there are no strings attached. She has no expectations about how the other person "should" respond.

The energy of Monica's giving feels wonderful - a breath of fresh air that warms the heart and fills the soul.

While Sandy and Monica may do exactly the same thing - for example cook a lovely meal for their partner - the energy of it is totally different because the intent is totally different.

When a husband gives his wife flowers to get something - approval, sex, attention - his wife can feel the strings attached and would have rather not received the flowers. She may give him a half-smile, but inside she may be feeling shut down or resistant, since she feels the flowers are a form of control. There is no love in the act of giving flowers when the intent is to get something.

When a husband gives his wife flowers because, on his way home from work, his heart fills with love for his wife and he wants to express it in a way that he knows she appreciates, his wife will love getting the flowers.

So, while the act of giving the flowers is exactly the same, the intent behind the gift is totally different. We cannot hide our intent, as it is betrayed in our energy. There is a world of difference between the energy of giving to get, and the energy of giving for the joy of it.

This often creates significant confusion between two people. When a person is unconsciously giving with an agenda attached, and the other person is unconsciously responding with some resistance, the giver may feel rejected and the receiver may feel shamed at his or her own lack of appreciation or responsiveness. Only when both people understand intent, and the huge difference between the intent to control vs. the intent to love, can they untangle the interaction.

Using Vinyl Replacement Windows To Lower Your Bills

The cost of heating and cooling our homes is rising on a regular basis, and there is no relief in the foreseeable future. With this in mind, homeowners are continuously looking for ways to optimize the energy efficiency of their homes. One of the long-lasting ways to do that is to install new windows, such as vinyl replacement windows, that help maximize the efficiency of a home's heating and cooling systems.

Replacing the windows in your home sounds costly, but one of the advantages of vinyl replacement windows is their relatively low cost. In fact, they are one of the least expensive choices when it comes to buying replacement windows. And because of the higher energy efficiency of replacement windows, they wind up paying for themselves in a few short seasons. With a moderate to high R-value, (a measure of resistance to heat flow) vinyl replacement windows are so cost-effective that they can save the average homeowner anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars in heating and cooling costs over an extended period of time.

But how do you know that it's time to replace your windows?

Wooden frames and caulking around older-style glass windows can deteriorate over time, reducing their ability to keep out air and moisture. Not only that, but the glass in the windows will eventually become scratched or marred, diminishing the overall look of your home. If you can see the damage that the years have made, money is going right out the windows. Vinyl replacement windows come with their own damage-resistant frames and the panes themselves are 100% scratch-free; and replacement windows will look as good years from now as they do when they are first installed, plus their energy efficiency will never diminish. The only drawback to vinyl replacement windows is that the frames cannot be painted, so when choosing them you need to be certain that you have chosen the color that you want. When you consider the advantages of installing vinyl replacement windows, it's an easy choice to make.

Vinyl replacement windows come in many styles and price ranges, so when homeowners are buying them they can take into consideration their decorating as well as budget needs. The installation of these windows can be done quickly so you won't have contractors working on your home for weeks.

Because of their energy efficiency and ease of maintenance and durability, more and more homeowners are choosing vinyl windows when it comes to replacing the windows in their homes. Vinyl replacement windows are proving to be the top choice in the window replacement market today - for clearly obvious reasons.

The Virtues and Vices of Consistency

Most people value and admire consistency. From Cal Ripken, Jr.`s consecutive game streak in baseball, to business longevity, to celebrating anniversaries and even birthdays; humans look for consistency, for plans and for stability. Most people see those traits as good things.

Compounding the interest and desire for consistency is the favor found in traditions. The meal you always have on a specific holiday, the things you do each Spring, fireworks on the Fourth of July in America, the list could go on and on...

There obviously are virtues to consistent performance, reliable processes and unchanging traditions. Yet, as with most everything in life, there is a flip side to these virtues too - the vices of these hallowed traditions and consistent actions.

You might be thinking... what could possibly be wrong with apple pie on my birthday or subscribing to the same magazine for 25 years or that popular annual Customer promotion?

While there might not be anything "wrong" with it; I`m curious, have you considered that you might like another flavor of pie (or a cheesecake!) better? Or that maybe there is another magazine that better addresses your specific interests (which likely have drifted over 25 years), or that an entirely different promotion might do even better?

When you are blindly tied to consistency and tradition these vices can keep you from thinking, put you at risk of being out of step, expose you to settling for just good when something better exists, and preclude you from asking questions (the kinds of questions that could change everything for the better).

If you buy my idea that there are two sides to the consistency coin, then let`s talk about what leaders can do to most effectively deal with - and take advantage of - both sides of that coin.

Balancing the Virtues and Vices

Human inclination is to "keep the tradition alive;" so, the advice that follows is more about opening your mind to the possibility that you could change that tradition. Having said that, realize these steps may leave you with the decision that the tradition should remain and continue to be cherished for what it is.

That`s perfectly fine and is all part of the balance itself. You must be willing to look critically at everything, and then determine what can change and what must remain.

Five steps to consider:

Identify the "sacred cows". What are the things you don`t ever look at? What are the things you never question, that you always do, or are considered politically "untouchable" in your organization? When you make this list you have taken the first step towards finding a greater balance - and possibly finding a tremendous opportunity for improvement.

Respect, but inspect. Each of those time honored procedures or traditions has value - or did at one time. As a leader, recognize the emotional connection or affiliation people may have towards these processes or approaches. Even if you expect to find change needed, respecting these practices is the best first step. This respect should be shown and felt as you inspect these processes and events for possible changes.

Do a relevancy check. Does the event, process or tradition support the current goals of your organization? Goals often (and should) change over time, and so it is appropriate to consciously take time to align all activities to the goals of the organization. If the tradition or process in question doesn`t support your current organizational goals, why does it remain?

Rededicate your efforts. Your analysis may not produce a black and white answer (like this is good and should be kept, or this needs to be eliminated). Regardless of the complexity, the goal is to decide and act. Perhaps the tradition needs to stay; perhaps it needs to be adjusted; or perhaps it is time to recreate, re-fashion or more drastically change it. Whatever the decision, rededicate your efforts to making the process or tradition highly valuable and valued.

And, if your analysis determines that some change is required, remember to . . .

Recognize deeper challenges. If you are making changes to a long-held tradition, recognize that the resistance to change will be significant - it will perhaps even surprise you. In this case remember to be patient, to be respectful and to talk about the 'whys` of the change early and often.

I love traditions as much as, if not more than, most. AND, I love change and the opportunities it brings. As a leader you must find this balance for yourself and your organizations.
The Basics of Camping with Your Family

Camping is probably one of the best ways for families to enjoy each other's company away from the hassles and pressures of work and school. Of course it's going to take a lot of careful planning and preparation, but every minute you'll spend with your family will be worth the hard work. If you keep it simple and bring along the essentials, you'll have a lovely time outdoors and you won't miss any of the modern conveniences. A good camping trip will be remembered throughout the years and will be a part of your family's history.

Here are some important tips to help you plan the perfect camping trip:

Decide whether you'll bring a tent or a camper. This will depend on how much you can afford and how much space you will need. Consider the number of people that will be going with you. Modern dome-style tents can easily accommodate 3 to 4 persons, with larger ones being able to fit up to 6 inside. Because you only have to connect a few pieces, dome tents can be easily set up in just a few minutes. If you want, you can even get pop-up tents that are self-erecting. For bedding, foam or air mattresses offer more comfort, plus they are more compact than anything else you might use. If you do use a tent, though, make sure you spray it with some rain-resistant spray to prevent leaks. I suggest adding a tarpaulin for extra protection against the sun and rain.

Campers, on the other hand, offer much more amenities. Although they are more expensive than tents, of course, you get pull-out beds, a small kitchen with a sink, stove, drawers for your plates and utensils, and a refrigerator. Campers also have tables and chairs for sitting, eating, etc. You can easily fit six people inside a camper, plus you'd have the added peace of mind knowing that your family is safe from leaks if ever it rains.

Pack lightly. A four-day trip, for example, requires only about two sets of clothes. You'll probably need only a jacket, a sweater, two shirts, a pair of pants and shorts, socks, underwear, and an extra pair of shoes or sandals. Bring along a pair of hiking boots if you plan on hiking, though. For laundry, a large basin will suffice, plus a clothesline and some clothes pins.

Prepare your food. Of course you can bring some coolers with you, but I recommend bringing foods like nuts, bread, cookies, anything that doesn't need refrigerating. Don't give the children too much to eat in just one sitting, or if you've just arrived, because they will want to go exploring and swimming. Instead, keep up their energy level and avoid stomach aches by giving them small meals. Keep it simple. Hamburgers and hotdogs are camping favorites. I also suggest planning a menu beforehand, and let the kids pick some of the food they like. Planning ahead will save you a lot of time when deciding what meals to cook when you're at the campsite. This will also help you determine if the food you'll be bringing is enough.

How about some entertainment? First of all, forget the TV set. And make sure you bring some books, toys, and games for the kids. Some good things to bring are baseball equipment, a football, a frisbee, or even radio-controlled toys, although you'd need to bring extra batteries, too. You can easily set-up a play area near the tent or camper. Take a walk, go swimming, or bring a small boat and go canoeing or fishing. You don't have to stay all day at the campsite, you know. But remember, never set up a rigid schedule where almost every single minute of your camping trip is planned. This will create stress and ruin the whole trip. Let your family members decide whether they want to play or just laze around.

One last thing: No matter if you're in a tent or a camper, or if you're staying 1 day or the whole week; just remember that you are there to enjoy yourselves. So relax, have fun, and enjoy camping with the family!

58. Map out a writing schedule for your project and stick to it.

59. Ask someone else to proofread.

60. Read Zinsser's "On Writing Well" at least once a year.

61. Break out of your comfort zone.

62. Write at the scene. If you want to write about a beach, get a picnic rug and go write by the sea.

63. Go to the supermarket, the ball game, the class room, the building site. Make notes of the sensuous details, the atmosphere, the people.

64. Start with metaphors and stories.

65. Approach writing with gratitude, not just with a 'must do this' attitude.

66. Deconstruct and analyze books and articles you enjoy.

67. Know about story architecture. Many writers don't. Which is like doing heart surgery or flying an airliner by intuition. Survival rates are low.

68. Socialize with other writers.

69. Stretch or exercise in between writing.

70. Make a note of ideas for further development before you leave a piece for tomorrow.

Lose Tummy Extra fat - Here's the Appropriate Way to Drop Tummy Extra Fat

There is a right way and a completely wrong way to drop stomach body fat.
Lose it the incorrect way and you can lead to your self considerable harm and endanger your well being. Drop abdomen extra fat the proper way and you will be a lot more interesting, living a healthier lifestyle and keep the body fat off. Here is the proper way to drop stomach body fat.

Ahead of we talk about how to shed belly body fat the appropriate way, let's look at why stomach extra fat is so poor in the first spot.

In accordance to physicians, belly extra fat is not only unattractive but is extremely hazardous to our wellness.

There are two sorts of weight that surround our bellies.
As we age and come to be much less active this appears to grow far more than when we had been younger. Subcutaneous fat is the extra fat that is closest to the skin's surface. That is relatively quick to loose and is not as much a concern to your wellness as the other form of weight.

The other type of fat is visceral body fat. That is the weight that is behind the stomach muscles and surrounds the internal organs. This is the weight that causes all the issues and is the hardest to get rid of. It is this body fat that needs to be focused on if you want to start off living a much healthier way of life and ever want to see your abs once again.

There are numerous issues with this extra fat. The greatest problem is that this kind of extra fat poisons the liver. The liver is the organ in our physique that reconfigures all the chemical compounds that arrive into our bodies. If the liver is sending out bad chemical substances it can lead to diabetes, large blood pressure, large levels of poor cholesterol, kidney problems and a lot, a lot much more.

Because this weight is underneath the muscles, no amount of AB workouts will at any time support you get to the six pack look you might be striving for.

A test to determine if your well being is at chance may possibly surprise you. What your weight is is not as important as you may possibly think. Your BMI (entire body mass index) is not as crucial a factor as you might have been led to believe. What is most essential is what your waist measurement is.

As a standard rule of thumb, physicians recommend your waist (measured in inches) need to be no much more than twice your height. So if you are 5 foot 6 inches tall that is 66 inches-your waist should be no a lot more than 33 inches. To measure your self take a tape measure and wrap it around your buttock and then to the front, centered at your tummy button.

If you want to get rid of this visceral abdomen body fat you ought to walk, swim, operate and do all sorts of aerobic physical exercise.
As well you should try to eat the proper sorts of food that really eat aside at this extremely dangerous extra fat. A lot of physicians nowadays are large proponents of supplements that appear from the acai berry.

Acai berry as a fruit, a juice and a supplement is regarded as extremely helpful in helping an individual get rid of fat and live a longer existence. Acai berry has elements that really take in away fat in the system.

Clicker Obedience Training for Dogs – Unleashing 3 Super Trainer Tips for Quick Results

I used to wonder curiously about clicker obedience training for dogs. But then, my neighbor said that clickers are not meant for obedience training and they are only fit for making a dog perform circus-like tricks and stunts.

At first, I agreed with my neighbor. Those clickers seemed annoying to me and I didn't believe that anyone would be able to teach obedience training commands to their dogs with that constant clicking sound.

I couldn't be more wrong!

Listen, one day I was browsing a video site and this clicker obedience training video caught my attention. It was really well-shot, unlike some of those flimsy homemade clicker videos you often see on the web.

The video was made by a team of professional dog trainers specialized in clicker obedience training for dogs. So they designed a comprehensive clicker training course with videos which I downloaded straight to my computer.

After several home training sessions with my dog Brylow…

I must say their clicker training principles and techniques are spot on!

The 3 "super trainer" tips that helped me the most during training are:

Tip 1 – To clicker train your dog effectively, you need to employ a large variety of positive reinforcers. This means you should allow your dog to play with several different toys/object. The same goes for treats. Use many different ones for better end result.

Tip 2 – High clicking rate is crucial during the first few training sessions. Make sure your dog is able to earn a single click at a rate of every 3 – 5 seconds. This method works really well when I first conducted a clicker crate training session with Brylow.

Tip 3 – Minimize sloppy training. This means you should avoid the following during clicker obedience training: bending over your dog, repeated cues, nagging, and luring.

3 Reasons Why You Don't Need A Health Club Membership

Health club memberships can be fun. Some clubs have perks that most of us don't have at home such as Olympic size swimming pools, basketball courts and of course girls in spandex! Yep, that's right girls, guys like to check you out at the gym. But seriously, remember what a health club membership used to be? A health club is a place to workout with exercise equipment and to have access to workout instructors to show you how to use the equipment. Today things are a bit different and the health club may soon become a endangered species.

Home gyms are affordable and offer all in one exercise solutions. With today's technological advances in exercise equipment it is not necessary to go to the health club to get in a good exercise session with the proper equipment. Fitness expertise is also not a requirement to workout at home because the selectorized home gyms on the market today have self spotting workout stations with easy to understand exercises. Plus, they come with instructional workout posters for beginners. Home gyms now come in different shapes and sizes, they can fit into the smallest apartment or you can devote a whole basement or garage to them and invite over your family and friends for a workout. Affordability is important and home gyms are mostly very attainable to even the tightest budget. The low end home gym runs from $499 and up to the best of the best at about $4000 and they can last a lifetime, in fact many do come with lifetime warranties.

There is simply no time to go to the health club anymore. After work, you have already got your hands full with the kids and your own commitments. Do you really have time to devote a couple of hours 3-4 times a week to commute to the club? The fact of the matter is that most people do not, and not only does your membership dues go down the tubes but you end up missing your workout altogether. Home gyms eliminate all of the excuses and save you loads of time and money. Just grab a quick workout in the comfort and privacy of your own home.

Personal hygiene has become an issue now days. On top of the regular flue season, you have now got swine flue and other malignant maladies to worry about. Plus, keep in mind that not everyone shares your views on personal hygiene. Just because you wash after using the rest room doesn't mean the last guy that used the equipment did! I know that many health clubs offer the disinfectant spray bottles to wipe down the equipment with after your workout is over. But disinfectant can be an irritant in itself and those wet rags are disgusting and loaded with all kinds of gunk. I actually saw a guy blow his nose on one before! With you own home gym it is very reassuring to know where it has been and who has used it.

There you have it, 3 pertinent reasons why you still haven't fulfilled your new years commitment to shed a few pounds and stay in shape. A good home gym is really all you need.

Aluminum, the Modern Metal

Aluminum is one of the modern worlds more versatile materials. It is used in everything from soda cans to airliners. Aluminum can be molded, extruded, machined, cast, shaped and formed into such a variety of things that it is a wonder of modern metallurgical art. It was only during the 1880's that a process was developed that made the widespread use of aluminum possible. Before the development of this process aluminum as a metal was more valuable than gold in it's pure form.
Elementally speaking, aluminum has an atomic weight of 13 and is a member of the boron group of chemical elements. In its metal form it has a melting point of 660 degrees centigrade. Aluminum is the most abundant metal in the earth's crust. However it never occurs as a metal in nature because it is chemically too reactive. It is found as a compound in over 270 different minerals. The chief of these minerals being bauxite.
The ancients used alum, which most modern sources refer to as alumina from which aluminum comes from, as a astringent and a mordant for dyes. The scientist Wohler is generally credited with first isolating the metal in 1827. Alumina was used in the textile industry during the 1800's as a mordant. It was through the discovery of a process for separating purer forms of alumina that the modern aluminum industry was born.
The Bayer process has changed very little since it was first used in 1887 and is still the chief method for separating aluminum from bauxite. The bauxite is washed in a caustic solution which separates the alumina bearing ores from the oxides and other material in the bauxite. Through the use of heat, pressure, and chemical processes, the alumina bearing ore is extracted and purified. Ultimately the ore is refined into aluminum which is used in its metal form by much of the world.
Aluminium Alloy
By itself aluminum is not a strong metal, however when alloyed with other metals such as copper, magnesium, manganese, silicone, and other elements, it develops very useful characteristics such as corrosion resistance, lightweight, and tensile strength. Aluminum is also insoluble in alcohol though it is be soluble in water in certain chemical forms.
In its alloyed form it has about a third of the density and stiffness of steel, which makes it useful as a structural material. Aluminum has replaced steel as the armor of choice for modern warships. It is also used as armor sheeting on many modern vehicles, due to it's lightweight.
We are most familiar with aluminum as a metal. Its properties as a metal are highly desirable. It is corrosion resistant, nonmagnetic and non-sparking. When tempered and alloyed with the proper element, such as copper or manganese, it has enough tensile strength to be useful in many applications as a light yet durable structural material. Aluminum is also useful in the chemical industry, as an ingredient in explosives and other chemical processes. Aluminum retains its high reflectivity when powdered making it an important component in paints and coatings.
Aluminum is used extensively in our daily lives. The aerospace industry would be at a standstill without aluminum which makes up the material in most aircraft. The automotive industry also uses aluminum in engines, car frames, wheels and other parts of the vehicles we drive. Aluminum is in our kitchens as pots, pans, aluminum foil and various cooking utensils. Aluminum is also used in power transmission lines. Though not as conductive as copper it's lightweight makes it ideal for power lines.
Aluminium Sheet
We live in what could be called the aluminum age, for it is the most commonly used metal in our daily lives, and is all around us in the cars we drive, the planes we fly in, the cans of soda we drink. Aluminum products are in all facets of our lives. There would be no space program without aluminum, which forms the major components of the International Space Station and space shuttle.
One of the advantages of aluminum is that it is 100 percent recyclable. All the various products made of aluminum can be melted down and reused to make more products, which when their usefulness is over can in their turn be recycled. From the soda can to the car engine, aluminum is a reusable resource.

The effective fashion Era

Five Tips for Spring

I know, I know, with all the cold and rain it doesn't seem like spring is on its way, but the truth is that we can already see the new season's fashions in stores. So I've been thinking that if you, like me, can't wait any longer and you're already planning your look for the next season, you're going to need these tips for making the right purchases and avoiding mistakes. Take heed….
What will this newsletter cover?

Fashion Tips for the New Season
The same thing happens to me every year: in February I'm so ready for the warmer weather to arrive that I "almost" don't feel like going shopping, since I don't want anything else for winter and I won't be able to use anything I buy for the spring since it's still cold outside. But, good planner that I am, I've already started to pay attention to the new clothing collections and accessories. So if, like me, you are already planning your look for the new season, here are the tips you need to keep in mind:

Tip #1: Makeup-like Shades in Nude, Pastels, and Cream
If you can use only one color this spring, let it be nude (or a pastel or cream). Choose the shade that looks best with your skin. You can choose a dress or a blouse in a light fabric. These colors are very becoming, especially if you have slightly darker skin (note that this year we won't see intense bronzing, but rather – fortunately for me – a light golden tone).
How can you know which color looks best on you? It's very easy. Simply hold up (or try on) a piece of clothing when you're wearing makeup and are well-dressed. If you see that your skin is automatically brighter and you look better, you've found it! If, instead, your under-eye circles and imperfections become more noticeable, it isn't your color, so look for something darker or lighter.
Finding the right shade in these types of colors is difficult, especially if (like me) you are very light-skinned (if your skin is darker or lightly bronzed, you'll look great in practically any shade of cream or nude). I take the clothing home (always making sure that I can return it) and try it on under lighting that I can control, with the accessories I plan to use.
Dresses in these shades are killer, and if you wear them with a short suede jacket in the same color, you can wear them a little sooner in the year.
Tip #2: The "Must-Have Color of Spring: Coral
This spring is not all about subtle colors. The color you'll see this year, and which is also very attractive, is an intense coral shade. You'll see it in clothing, but also in lipstick and nail polish.
If you're going to a wedding or another important event, dare to use this becoming, trendy color. An orange-colored dress is one of the pieces on my list for this season. I haven't found it yet, but I will get .
Tip #3: And Black, Too – Yes, in Spring!
I already know that I wear a lot of black, but let me tell you that it's such a becoming color for me! But be careful – you need to be cautious in choosing black clothing. First, if you wear all black, you must make sure that the colors on the top and bottom match perfectly and are made from the same material. Also, you need to make sure that the clothing is perfectly ironed and impeccable. If you wear a black sweater with pilling, it won't look good, and if it's black the pilling will definitely be noticeable!
Black is normally a color for winter, but it will be in use this spring (lucky for me, since half my wardrobe is black, although I combine the pieces with colorful accessories). I'm already looking for the perfect little black dress for spring. Of course, if you don't like wearing black, you can opt for pure white, as well as one of the winning combinations of all time: black with white. Remember that if you want to minimize your hips, you should use black for the lower part of your outfit and combine it with a white blouse or top.
Tip #4: Safari, Military, and Khaki Styles in Dark Green
I like this tip, because I look good in safari-style clothing – that is, typical khaki pants with a silk safari-style blouse (with pockets on the chest) and really high-heeled brown sandals. Dark green shirts, jackets, and pants are very becoming. If the piece has a touch of military style, it's even better. Wear these pieces with brown accessories, like dark brown belts and suede handbags. I've already found an intense green shirt that will soon be part of my wardrobe.
Tip #5: Sexy and Comfortable Accessories
Oh, here's a trick! Look on the sales racks for pieces that fit with the new season's trends…. I just bought some wedge-heel, peep-toe shoes in Uterqüe that were marked down 70%. ? Wedge-heel shoes are definitely going to be key pieces this season. That's great, because they're very comfortable and incredibly sexy. Also, if you don't already have them, search for some high-heeled sandals with brown straps – you'll wear them with everything the history of fashion.

Going To Hong Kong For Traveling

They call Hong Kong the 'City of Life' because it has always been so vibrant and full of energy. It's a city that's both exotic and cosmopolitan making it a perfect destination for first time travelers to Asia. Being a former British colony, there's enough English signs and people able to speak the language there to make it a user friendly place. At the same time, it's foreign enough that tourists will definitely feel that they are not on a typical beach vacation. Even after the U.K. gave Hong Kong back to China, this Chinese government designated 'Special Administrative Region' has not lost its dynamics. The communist government realizes the importance of Hong Kong as an economic giant and is so far adhering to a two system coexistence for China. 'Hong Kong' means 'sweet harbor' in the Chinese Cantonese dialect which is fitting as there's so much in the city to stimulate all of the senses.

There are actually two main areas of Hong Kong. One being the Hong Kong island itself and the other being the Kowloon peninsula which is on the mainland across the harbor. The new international airport is yet on another island and transit to the city can be via train, bus or auto. The bridge that connects to Kowloon is the world's longest road and rail bridge.

Once in the city, one will realize that Hong Kong is a very busy place with people everywhere. It has one of the densest populations as most of the 6.5 million inhabitants live in high-rise buildings due to the lack of land available. In fact, one reason why there seems to be people on the streets during all hours including the evenings is because people there want to take a break from their tiny apartments and get outside for some space. Hotel accommodations are in every budget range on both the Kowloon and Hong Kong island sides. Getting across the harbor is fairly easy. One can take the harbor ferry which actually has different class levels (the higher levels are slightly more expensive but the views are better). There's also an underground tunnel that taxi cabs can take and like many other major cities around the world, Hong Kong also has an underground subway transit system. This subway also goes underground beneath the harbor connecting the island to Kowloon. There are double decker buses in Kong Kong as well as double decker rail street cars over on the island. One way to see the various commercial districts on the island is to stay on the streetcar for an entire loop which will take riders right across the downtown areas including some of the street markets.

Hong Kong is a contrast of old and new. There are old temples and monasteries scattered throughout. But there is also that gigantic modern skyline of tall skyscrapers that will make most North American cities appear small. There's even the world's longest outdoor escalator here. A must do in Hong Kong is to go to the top of the mountain of Victoria Peak on the island either by bus, auto or a special tram they have there to see spectacular views of the entire region. There are also tours of the boat village where a local will take tourists around the bay in one of their boats. One thing that is very interesting to see in Hong Kong is the early morning exercise sessions in some of the local parks. Every morning, there are crowds of locals, many of them seniors, who meet up at the parks to exercise and do tai chi.

With over 9,000 restaurants, dining in Hong Kong is also an exciting experience. There are all types of international cuisine but of course, the Chinese fare is what most visitors come here for. From elegant dining to busy dim sum houses to street stalls, there's so much variety of food that it's impossible to sample everything. There are even the large floating restaurants which serve the freshest seafood catches.

Of course, there's the shopping experience in Hong Kong. Being a duty free port, there are many bargains in Hong Kong especially for textiles and electronics. Hong Kong is famous for its custom tailors who can make up a new suit within a day or two. As for electronics, for some reason Hong Kong always receives the latest models first even before North America does. Browsing through the many outdoor markets for souvenirs is another favorite activity. Be aware that bargaining is common in the markets so it is recommended to get an idea of typical prices from the retail stores first before going for deals at the markets. Kowloon has a few specialty markets worth visiting including the jade market, bird market and flower market. One must be extra careful at the jade market because if the prices are too good to be true, the pieces are probably not real jade. The night market which operates only during evenings is also fun where there are all sorts of merchandise available from clothing to toys to gadgets. There may also be entertainment such as Chinese opera on the streets during the night.

The Po Lin monastery on Lantau Island near the airport has the world's largest outdoor Buddha. Visitors climb the steps up to the statue and there are some nice views of the scenery up top. Lantau Island can be reached by ferry via local tour companies who will also take tourists to local fishing villages. Hydrofoil crafts can take casino enthusiasts to Macau which has also been returned back to the Chinese government. There are also tours into the New Territories beyond Kowloon to see more secluded temples and countryside farms as well as other shopping opportunities located in nearby Chinese mainland towns.

It's incredible how much there is to see and do in Hong Kong even within its relatively compact geographical area. There are so much more exotic sights and cuisine there that one simply cannot experience at the usual North American Chinatowns. At the same time, Hong Kong is so easy to get around with its efficient modes of transportation and wide range of services available in English. Tourists will never feel too lost even in a high activity place like Hong Kong.

MLM Success-When Your Spouse Opposes Your Home Business

Your MLM success may depend on your spouse and their mindset towards your business. If your spouse or partner is in full support of your home business, good luck to you.

However, situations where a spouse is opposed to (or at least non-supportive of) our MLM business is more common than some of us may think.

And the reasons range from the cynical to the fairly reasonable—jealousy, time and financial commitments, fear of failure, etc. Because most sufferers of spousal non-support are women (especially housewives), we will look at this issue from their standpoint.

Rather cynically, some husbands fear that their wife may go on to achieve real success with their business and thus supplant them (the husbands) as the family's bread winner. With their income suddenly becoming a supplementary one in the house, some husbands feel threatened and may thus resist a wife's home business efforts .Isn't that thinking queer?

But more realistically, some husbands who oppose their wife's attempts at a home business do so on the basis of past experience. What sort of support do you expect from a husband who has failed severally at home business opportunities?

With all the good intentions, he may try to discourage you from an activity which in his opinion will only take all your time and other resources and yield nothing in the end.

Then there is the issue of money. It is hard enough to get your husband's full consent on your spending your own money on a venture he is not sure will succeed. But you may be asking for too much if you also ask him to fund the venture with his personal earnings!

The matter becomes even knottier if the family is already on a tight budget. We know you are going into this thing in order to be able to help out with the family's finances, but at this point, it is hard for him to appreciate that, or for you to convince him.

And we have not even talked about how the business is going to affect the family's time—such as for shopping and other outings. These too form part of the reasons some husbands resist.

The reasons are many and varied. But the good news is that things can often be worked out—that is, if there were not any pre-existing atmosphere of mutual hostility in the house!

You only have to start by finding out why your spouse is negative towards your home business. What are his or her SPECIFIC fears? Is it money, or the particular type of MLM you are going into? Does he fear that his bread-winner status is threatened? Getting things out in the open makes it easier for you to deal with them effectively.

For example, if your husband fears that your efforts will end in failure (probably speaking from his own experience), the onus will now be on you to prove how serious you are about building a successful business.

Tell your spouse how you have spent time gaining business knowledge, learning the different aspects of the business you are going into. He may possibly see what he did or did not do that you are doing differently. And you will win him over without a fight!

Similarly, if your spouse is afraid that your MLM business will eat up family time—and that you probably will no longer perform your duties as a wife or mother, you can allay his fears. Demonstrate how you have organized your work in such a way that it will not adversely affect family outings and others.

You could explain that when the business starts bringing in more money, you plan to hire someone to take care of things so you could take vacations with the family once in a while.

What about money concerns? There are two ways to handle this: (1) explain to your spouse matter-of-factly that you are going into this venture primarily to improve the family's financial situation.

And yes, you will need some financial support to get started. After all, it often takes money to make more money. Most spouses will appreciate their partners' concern for the family.

But what if your husband is understandably concerned that supporting your MLM financially would mean missing a few bill payments? That could be tough. But then you have the next option: (2) make some changes in your own personal spending, and carefully budget home expenses.

This will surely involve some sacrifices on your part. But giving up a few things will often spin off a few extra dollars to enable you run your business without disrupting the family's budget.

It surely can be frustrating when your spouse does not support your home-business efforts. But this can be overcome. Communicating openly and tactfully with your spouse can often melt this ice of resistance by helping you identify and address his fears.
Nursery Furniture Makes Up An Ideal Nurturing Environment

It is a well-known fact that early childhood experiences have a deep and lasting impact on the personality of a child, making it all the more important for parents to provide fitting nursery furniture. While, material goods cannot compensate for parental care, they definitely guarantee that the child is protected, healthy and thrives in an atmosphere favorable to all round development.

No parent wishes that their child comes in harm's way. They try, all possible means, to safeguard him/her. Nursery furniture accentuates this possibility. Since, this type of furniture is manufactured with the aim of caring for infants and young children, it anticipates potential threats and tries to eradicate those, in terms of design, material and make of the furniture.

Safety First

The furnishings of a house may be safe for adults, but when it comes to infants, things normally considered safe may turn out to be detrimental to the safety of the child. Take for example, a bed, which may be the most comfortable place for the parents, but, an infant, if left alone on a bed, can roll over and fall down.

Crawling children, can get hurt from its sharp edges. In the case of wrought iron furniture, there is a danger that the child may lodge his/her limbs in the intricate iron work, where as, glass furniture has the danger of breaking, causing cuts and bleeding.

Nursery furniture has been deemed fit for infants and small children. It prevents the aforementioned hazards. Besides, being protective in nature, it also caters to the multiple requirements of the child and mother.

Create A Perfect Nursery

An ideal nursery would take care of the storage, changing and sleeping needs of the child. It would also be hygienic and clean. It is also important that the nursery is well lit and airy and the room shuts out noise from traffic and other parts of the house. Nursery furniture deals with the requirements of storing diapers, nappies, clothes, and linen, besides making available a safe and comfortable place for the baby to sleep in.

Cosatto offers a multitude of options for parents who wish to create a beautiful and comfortable environment for their babies. There are versatile opportunities that are offered to ensure customer satisfaction.

The nursery furniture includes cots, cot beds, Moses baskets, drawer chests, wardrobes, changing stations, toy storage boxes, under bed linen storage and so on. Parents can also decorate their child's room with especially designed curtains, bedding, mattresses, bed covers, sheets and toys.

The special collection line offered includes, Hogarth Pine, Hogarth Cream, Hogarth Walnut, Hogarth White and Modo.
